Iran in Bloom II
The Eternal is a commemorative collection dedicated to the Jâvid-Nâm — the eternal name — innocent Iranian citizens killed at protests or thereafter in detention. On January 8–9, 2026, millions took to the streets across Iran calling for a free and democratic future. Thousands were killed to halt the movement. Others were arrested, sentenced in unjust trials, and executed in the months that followed. Their number continues to rise. These designs are a living tribute to their memory and their sacrifice.
Iran in Bloom II places the map of Iran — filled with red tulips — over the repeated verse of Aref Ghazvini: از خون جوانان وطن لاله دمیده … گل نیز چو من در غمشان جامه دریده — "From the blood of the homeland's youth, tulips have bloomed … in their sorrow, the flower, as I have, has torn its garment." The words become the ground the map grows from. At the bottom: یادونامشان جاودان — their memory and names be eternal. Remembering the brave who live on in name — for Iran.
