Born during the Woman, Life, Freedom movement (2022) and echoed throughout the recent nationwide uprising (2026), the Sabzi Polo bâ Mâhi (Persian Herbed Rice with Fish) slogan is a fine example of how Iranian protesters reclaimed a cherished New Year’s feast to address the instruments of oppression who protect the status quo at the cost of the people.
In Iranian protest culture, slogans are a living dialogue: one group shouts the "call," and the crowd roars back the "response." This design presents the call. The completion is a rhyme known by heart and voiced by the brave.
