Voices of the Brave collection pays homage to the courage of those in Iran who creatively use Persian language and cultural elements to express their desire for a free and democratic future.
In this collection, The Sparkler documents a rhythmic slogan that has become a hallmark of the movement’s clarity. Born during the Woman, Life, Freedom movement (2022) and echoed throughout the recent nationwide uprising (2026), the Toop, Tânk, Feshfesheh (Cannon, Tank, Sparkler) slogan mocks heavy weaponry as impotent sparklers in the face of a united people. In this chant, protesters look past the "fanfare" of the instruments of oppression to address the root of the problem. It is a tribute to a resolute demand for fundamental change.
In Iranian protest culture, slogans are a living dialogue: one group shouts the “call,” and the crowd roars back the “response.” This design presents the call. The completion is a rhyme known by heart and voiced by the brave.
May the day come when democratic mechanisms replace the need for such defiant acts, and no voice is ever again silenced by force.
